Wine output in region hits 200 million litres since start of 2025

Every second bottle of wine in the country is produced in Kuban.

«Since the beginning of the year, the region has produced 200 million litres of wine, which is a 15% increase compared to the previous year. Most importantly, all of it is made exclusively from Kuban grapes. Today, we are doing everything possible to support the industry and promote locally produced products. Along with the increase in production, product quality has also improved,» said Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar Region.

In retail outlets, local products are highlighted with special price tags, while restaurants construct wine lists, organise tastings, and gastronomic evenings. New retail formats are being developed in the region, including wine boutiques, wine shops, and fairs. This contributes to a minimum 15% increase in sales of Kuban products.

At present, vineyards occupy approximately 33,500 hectares in the Krasnodar Region, which is 30% more than in 2020. This season, a record 305,000 tonnes of grapes were harvested in Kuban.
